Walkerville Public Schools is inviting families to a fun, space-themed evening as we kick off enrollment for the 2026-2027 school year! Join us on Thursday, April 9 from 5:00 - 6:30 pm for a FREE event filled with food, hands-on activity stations, and support with enrollment.

Designed for children ages 3, 4, 5, & 6 and their families, this is a great opportunity to explore, learn, and get excited for the year ahead, while having a little fun along the way.

Our 2nd graders have been getting into the spirit! They've been reading for at least 30 minutes each day to build their reading stamina.

Mr. Stankowski's 5th grade class is exploring states of matter by creating Oobleck, a mixture that acts like both a solid and a liquid.

Our 2nd graders in Mrs. Rodriques class are learning the stages of plants.

In this lesson, they created a detailed drawing of each stage of a plant.

Mr. Stankowski's 5th-grade class used a balance scale for their measurement unit.

Our kindergartners sketched out Love Bugs of their own to get in the Valentine's Day spirit. 

Our 1st and 2nd graders had an opportunity to listen to the author Steve W. Martin read his book "Fluffy McWhiskers Cuteness Explosion" along with children across the USA on National Read-Aloud Day! 

Oral storytelling has been a wonderful tradition since the beginning of time.

We're sponsoring a wonderful "winter-themed" event for PreK children (ages 3 and 4) and their parents on Thursday, January 29. 

It's FREE, and you do not need to be currently enrolled in Walkerville Public Schools. Just come out and enjoy an early evening with other friendly little bears!

Asa Kramer's 9th-grade health and physical education class studied the impact and effects of tobacco vapes and other drugs - and then discussed ways to help teens avoid their use. 

In Art with Mrs. Riggs students created "Thankful Trees" and collaborated on a long list of things they are grateful for. It's an impressive list, don't you think? What would you add?

The 2nd graders in Mrs. Rodriguez' class have been learning about Paleontology and how Paleontologists study fossils to teach us what earth was like millions of years ago.

In this lesson, students discovered how to rearrange the bones of a Saber Tooth Tiger, just like a Paleontologist does to build a skeleton from long ago..

7th graders in Math class worked together on their "Solving Inequalities" unit review. This pleased Mrs. Wolgamott. The students hoped Santa would notice their diligent work, too!

A group of juniors and sophomores got the opportunity last week to tour Arbre Farms. 

Our school, college & career advisor Zach Schaedig reported that everyone had a great time learning about the many different kinds of careers that are available right here in our local community.

Students in Karen Gajewski's classroom enjoy their occasional lessons on the large electronic smart board. Variety in learning makes it fun!

Our 2nd-grade expanded their knowledge about fire safety last week. 

A couple of special guests helped them discover what to do in an emergency situation and they also had the opportunity to explore a fire truck, too! 

One Friday in November, 4th graders in Karen Kettel's 3-5 math class used pairs of dice to learn more about math factors. 3rd graders devoted their Friday Fun Time to explore their talents engineering talents.

Mr. Stankowski's 3rd,4th, and 5th graders learned about the sacrifices of our nation's military veterans and honored them by creating patriotic hallway art.
